Face Care Tips for Preventing Eczema
If you have sensitive skin, you may be more prone to eczema. Here are some ideas for preventing eczema. Eczema is defined as a particular kind of dermatitis. It shows up as red and dry, scaly or flaky patches on the face or other body parts.

It’s difficult to treat, because there are so many different types of eczema. And there is no known cure for eczema. All we can do is treat and prevent eczema. The most common form is called, asteotic eczema. It is often caused by excessive dryness of the skin. In more extreme cases, scales and blisters show up.

In all cases, eczema is just plain itchy. Sometimes eczema is a result of an allergic reaction to something in the air, synthetic clothing, or shampoos and face creams that have a lot of fragrance. Kids who are more allergy-prone could have childhood eczema that appears all over the body. Eczema in adults often shows up as dry patches around the hairline, eyebrows, and sometimes in front of the ears.

Eczema LOVES humidity, and sometimes moisturizers can help soothe the scaly, flaky skin, but you need to be careful because sometimes it could make it worse – especially if the moisturizer you are using has harsher ingredients in it since the skin is already inflamed.

Remedies, Treatment and Prevention: A quick oat bath in Aveeno can soothe the skin. Make sure you don’t soak too long in it though. Try using Oil of Olay Age Defying Lotion. This is helpful because it contains salicylic acid which exfoliates the dry, red patches and soothes the inflamed areas on your face – usually within a day. Of course, this is just a suggestion. Eczema does not have a cure, we just have to treat it the best we can.

Here’s a folk remedy that has been known to work: Mix a drink of juiced spinach, celery, parsley, and wheat grass. Doesn’t sound that appetizing, but mix it with apple juice and it tastes fairly good! And it’s been known that a daily serving of watercress helps tremendously. Just add to your soups, salads and omelettes. Click for an instant download of the ebook, Eczema Diet Secrets or click on the image below.
